Sue Jaensch has spent a lifetime in thoroughbred racing, but she hasn’t come across too many young horses with a temperament quite like Casbourg, who will chase a debut win in Saturday’s inaugural 2YO Moorundi Classic (900m) at Thomas Farms Racecourse Murray Bridge.

Two-year-olds can be tricky to manage and only a small percentage of racehorses start their racing career before their third birthday.

But Jaensch, who operates stables at Murray Bridge and Naracoorte, said the gelding is a natural talent who has shown he is ready to race without any pressure ever being placed on him in training.
